The Grounds Are Quiet… But Ready

Dear Friends of Lake Ellen,

Today I spent some time walking the grounds at Lake Ellen, taking in the quiet beauty of the camp. I wanted to share a few photos with you because I realized something:

Many people who love this place haven’t actually seen it in years.

And honestly… it’s still beautiful.

Main camp looks nearly the same, with many improvements. The grounds are well taken care of. The waterfront still feels like summer memories waiting to happen.

As I walked around today, I kept thinking about the many lives touched here. Campers, counselors, families, churches, retreats, campfires, laughter, worship, and friendships that started right here on these grounds.

Lake Ellen has always been more than buildings. It is a place where people encountered God, built life-long relationships, and stepped away from the noise of everyday life.

Even after all these years, it is still here.

I hope these photos bring back some good memories for you today.
